Know Your Time Limit
The exam gives you a generous but finite amount of time, so a steady pace is important. Avoid spending several minutes on a single question, since the CAT format does not allow you to skip or return.
A Practical Pace
Aim for roughly one minute or less per question on average. Read the stem, decide on an answer before looking at the options if possible, and then verify. Long scenario questions may take a bit longer, while simple recall questions should be quick.
When You Are Unsure
Eliminate clearly wrong choices and choose the best remaining answer. Move on without regret. Practice with a timer during preparation so the pace feels natural on test day.
