How It Works
Spaced repetition schedules reviews just before you would forget something. You review a new fact after one day, then three days, then a week, then two weeks. Each successful recall strengthens the memory.
Applying It to NREMT Content
It is ideal for vital sign ranges, drug doses, CPR ratios, and the steps of procedures. Create a flashcard for each item, and sort them by how well you know them. Cards you miss return more frequently.
Keeping the Habit
Ten to twenty minutes a day beats a long weekend cram. Pair reviews with a regular activity such as morning coffee. Use known and unknown decks so you spend time on what you really need to learn.
