Understand the Source
Test anxiety often comes from fear of failure, uncertainty about the format, or poor preparation. Naming the worry helps reduce it. Prepare thoroughly and practice in conditions similar to the real exam.
Calming Techniques
Use slow diaphragmatic breathing, such as inhaling for four counts and exhaling for six. Progressive muscle relaxation and short walks before the exam also help. Avoid heavy caffeine, which can increase jitters.
During the Exam
If you feel panic building, pause for a few breaths and reset. Treat each question as a separate task and do not dwell on previous ones. Positive self-talk and a consistent routine build confidence over time.
