Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using arteura.com/counseling ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. We may update these terms at any time; continued use constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

2. Description of Service

arteura.com/counseling provides study materials (flashcards, mini exams, and full-length practice exams) for candidates preparing for the ASWB (Association of Social Work Boards) exams, NCE (National Counselor Examination), NCMHCE (National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination), and related LCSW and LMSW licensing exams. All content is original and independently developed. CounselingPrep is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the ASWB, NBCC, or any state licensing board in any way.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this requirement. Accounts are personal and non-transferable.

4. Subscriptions and Payment

Free Plan: Access to a limited number of flashcards and sample mini exams at no charge.

Full Access Plan ($39.99/month): Monthly subscription that renews automatically. You may cancel at any time via the Billing portal; access continues until the end of the current billing period.

Lifetime Access Plan ($299 one-time): A single payment grants indefinite access to all current and future content. Lifetime access is locked to one device. If you need to change devices, contact support@arteura.com.

Institutional Plans: Institutional licensing is available for universities, training programs, and organizations. Contact support@arteura.com for institutional pricing and terms.

Payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your payment card details.

5. Cancellation

Monthly subscribers may cancel their subscription at any time via the Billing portal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you retain access until that date. No partial-month credits or prorated refunds will be issued for any reason. Lifetime Access purchases are non-cancelable. See Section 12 for the complete refund policy.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on arteura.com/counseling (including questions, explanations, flashcards, and platform code) is owned by arteura.com and protected by copyright. You may use the Service for personal study only. You may not copy, share, reproduce, publish, or resell any content without our written permission.

7. Prohibited Uses

• Sharing your login credentials with others
• Scraping, downloading, or bulk-exporting content
• Using the Service for any commercial purpose without authorization
• Attempting to circumvent access controls or subscription restrictions
• Impersonating another user or providing false information

Violation of these prohibitions may result in immediate account termination without refund.

8. No Guarantee of Exam Results

CounselingPrep is a study tool. We do not guarantee that use of the Service will result in passing the ASWB, NCE, NCMHCE, or any state licensing exam. Exam difficulty and pass/fail outcomes are determined by the respective testing organizations and state licensing boards.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free from inaccuracies. While we strive for accuracy, all content should be verified against current exam guidelines, applicable regulations, and professional best practices.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CounselingPrep's total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Texas.

12. All Sales Final; No Refunds

All purchases made through arteura.com/counseling, including monthly subscriptions and Lifetime Access plans, are final and non-refundable. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge and agree that:

• No refunds, credits, or chargebacks will be issued under any circumstances, including but not limited to dissatisfaction with the Service, failure to use the Service, failure to pass any licensing exam, account termination due to violation of these Terms, or changes in personal circumstances.
• Monthly subscription fees are non-refundable for any partial or full billing period, whether or not you used the Service during that period.
• Lifetime Access purchases are a single, irrevocable transaction. No refund will be issued regardless of when the request is made.
• You waive any right to dispute, reverse, or initiate a chargeback for any payment made to arteura.com/counseling. Initiating a fraudulent chargeback constitutes a breach of these Terms and may result in immediate account termination, collection action, and a permanent ban from the Service.
• If you cancel a monthly subscription, you retain access until the end of the current billing period. No prorated refund will be provided.

This no-refund policy applies to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law. By purchasing any plan, you expressly consent to this policy and waive any right to a refund.

13. Cancellation Policy

You may cancel your monthly Full Access subscription at any time through the Billing portal (Dashboard, then Billing, then Manage Billing). Upon cancellation:

• Your subscription will not renew at the next billing cycle.
• You retain full access to all paid features until the end of your current billing period.
• Once the billing period ends, your account reverts to the Free plan. All progress, scores, and study streaks are preserved, but access to paid content (locked flashcards, mini exams, and full exams) is removed.
• No partial-month credits, prorated refunds, or extensions will be issued for any reason.
• You may resubscribe at any time at the then-current price. Previous progress will be restored upon resubscription.

Lifetime Access plans cannot be cancelled. Lifetime Access is a one-time, permanent purchase. There is no subscription to cancel and no recurring charge. Access remains active indefinitely, subject to compliance with these Terms.

Account deletion: If you wish to delete your account entirely, email support@arteura.com. Account deletion is permanent, removes all personal data and progress, and does not entitle you to any refund. Active subscriptions must be cancelled before account deletion.
